Obituary of Lita Pennell
Lollitta Opal Pennell (Lita), 56 of Ellendale Delaware passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday July 28, 2020 after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer.
Lita was born in Nassawadox Virginia in 1963, to Ray Jessee and Mozella Demaio, but she was raised by her loving parents Joseph and Mozella DeMaio of Georgetown Delaware. Lita married Francis Pennell “Frankie” in 1980, and then later married Charles Timothy Shawver “Tim”, in 2008. Lita held residence in Virginia, West Virginia, and Delaware during her life.
Lita held several jobs in her life but she mostly was a stay at home mom. She babysat for family members for many years as well as worked from home helping her late husband with his construction business. Lita loved spending time with her family. She absolutely adored and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching the birds and nature with her morning cup of coffee. She always had bird feeders out in her front yard to watch and feed all year long. She enjoyed some gardening and growing and admiring her beautiful flowers and house plants. She also enjoyed watching her favorite soap operas on T.V. Lita was admired for her kind and giving nature, she just had a huge heart and loved everyone passionately and unconditionally. She also loved God and she liked to talk about her faith with her family members. She was a kind and generous soul. We know she is reunited with her mother and savior now, but she will truly be missed.
